Robert E KIMES was born on September 26, 1927, in Phoenix, Arizona. He lived in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1945. He died on January 1, 2003, in Flint, Michigan, at the age of 75, and was buried in Michigan.

Obituary

KIMES, Robert E (Bob) - Of Otisville, age 75, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2003 after a lengthy struggle with complications associated with diabetes, at Genesys Hospice Center.

Funeral service will be 2PM Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Hudson Funeral Home, Rev. LeRoy Cole officiating. Interment at Smith Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Otisville Lions Club, American Diabetes Association or other organizations of your choice. Visitation will be Friday from Noon-9PM and Saturday 10AM to time of service. Mr. Kimes was born in Phoenix, AZ on September 26, 1927, the son of Leon and Olga (Pavlista) Kimes. He was united in marriage to Sally Baucus of Davison, January 9, 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy, was a dedicated member of the Otisville Lions Club for 40 years and a member of the Davison VFW. Bob, along with his wife Sally, owned and operated “Bob and Sal’s Grocery” in Otisville for 17 years. He retired from Richfield Trailer Supply. His favorite past-times included fishing, hunting, bowling and playing cards with long-time friends, Royal and Jane Hazel. Bob was a gentle and caring man who was always there to help anyone in need.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, of 49 years, Sally; 3 wonderful sons, James Kimes, Randy Kimes, both of Otisville and Roger and Lauri Kimes of Clio; grandchildren, Jillian Kimes, Casey Kimes, Nathan Kimes, Amanda Kimes, Emily Kimes and Lauren Kimes; great-grandson, Carter “Peanut” Kimes Peake; sisters, Marjorie (Ronald) Daystar of Dewey, AZ, Helen (Jim) Lee of Peoria, AZ; brother-in-law, Jack (Carolyn) Baucus of Livonia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William and wife Lou Kimes; mother and father-in-law, Grace and Cecil Baucus; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Dot) Hitchcock; brother-in-law, Robert Baucus. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the many medical personnel at Genesys Hospital, Hurley Hospital and Devita Dialysis Unit.
