Johanna Marie was born to Amandus and Veronika Ottner Koonsen on 22 Feb 1834 in Moschwitz. She married John Anton Vogel (Exact date unknown) She bore him 12 children. She died on 15 Dec 1879 in Caldwell County, Texas She is believed to be buried in the Vogel Family Cemetery in Caldwell County, Texas
