OBITUARY -
Shirley Mae Bonneville, 75, Nashwauk, passed quietly in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, surrounded by family, on Wed. Oct. 14, 2015, in Nashwauk. She was born in Grey Eagle, MN on July 4, 1940, to George and Cecelia (Gangl) LaBar. Shirley graduated from Greenway High School in Coleraine and was united in marriage to Ben Bonneville on April 11, 1959. She had worked for many years at Swan Lake Country Club and she loved to knit, crochet, play cribbage, and spend time with her family. She also enjoyed bowling and cooking. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to be “the queen of the ball”…and she really was.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Bonneville, of Nashwauk; four children: Amy (Tony) Martire, Carol Bonneville, Everett (Peggy) Bonneville, and Becky (Stanley) Ricker, all of Nashwauk; a great-nephew, who was like another son to her, Zack LaBar, of Nashwauk; grandchildren: Sam (Tara) Martire, Tim Martire, Dana (Kyle) Stein, Khayli (Todd) Ricker, Kody Ricker, Andrea Bonneville, and Stephanie Bonneville; great grandchildren: Lucas, Bridget, Jacob, and Colton Niemi; siblings: Ed (Bonnie) LaBar of Nashwauk, Helen (Richard) Lorenz of Nashwauk; Louise (Hugh) Elston of Pittsville, WI, Charlene (Roger) Moe of Hixton, WI, Marlene (Chip) Skaar of Hixton, WI; a sister-in-law, Kathy LaBar of Hixton, WI; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Everett LaBar; and by two nephews, Trevor and Lucas Skaar.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, from 11 AM until the 1 PM funeral service in Peterson Funeral Chapel, Coleraine
