Biography

Marguerite (Margaret) Lafournaise was born on the plains at Pembina on 1 Mar 1860 to Joseph Lafournaise and Suzanne Vallee. Baptism took place at Assumption Parish the following day.

Marguerite married Onesime Octave Azure (son of Pierre Azure and Marie Marthe Breland) on 15 Jan 1882. The couple had two known children: Joseph (b. 27 Oct 1883, m. Virginia McCleod) and Madeleine (b. 23 Dec 1884). Onesime Octave passed away in 1884.

Marguerite married Magloire McLeod (McCloud) (son of Antoine McLeod and Marie Anne Versailles) on 14 Apr 1888.

She passed away near Rolla, Rolette County, North Dakota on 15 Jul 1952.

Burial took place at Saint Michael Cemetery in Rolla on 17 Jul 1952.
