Biography
James came to Western Australia in the 1840s with his parents.[1]
- MARRIED. At St. George's Cathedral, Perth, on the 18th instant, by the Very Rev. Dean of Perth, Miss FRANCES MARY GILLIBRAND to MR JAMES LEWIS LAMBLEY, of Perth.[2]
He was a victualler in Perth in 1861 at the "Shamrock Hotel", and was in Guildford in 1863 as a storekeeper. They employed 10 T/L men 1858-1872. He qualified as a juror in 1860 with £150 personal estate.[1]
He travelled to South Australia and ultimately Queensland on 23 May 1863 per Gem with his wife and child.[1]
However, they returned at some point.
- LAMBLEY.—At Perth, 16th December, 1871, James Lewis Lambley, aged 36 years ; deeply regretted by his sorrowing family.[3]
