Biography
Minna was born about 1800.[1]
Thomas Lancaster and his wife Mima Leflore are mentioned as the parents of Hiram Lancaster in a court case from the late 1800s-early 1900s, which was to establish whether or not Hiram Lancaster and his children had enough Choctaw blood to acquire Indian Territory lands. In the end, their claims were rejected. Testimony from multiple sources established that Michael Leflore, 3/4 Choctaw Indian, son of Chief Thomas Leflore, had the following children: Mary Jane, who married Jim Torry; David; Frances, who married Colin Howree (sp?); Sarah, “of bad character”; and Michael, who died in 1869 or ‘70. Another person testified that Michael Leflore had a daughter, Mima Leflore, who married Thomas Lancaster, who was 3/4 Choctaw. They married in Mississippi, and had a son, Hiram. Hiram married Sarah Lee (1/16 Choctaw), and they had a son, Hiram, born in Choctaw county, Mississippi. This Hiram (Jr.) was at least 1/8 Choctaw (father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Choctaw blood), married in July 1878 to Margaret Hobbs.
