Judge Lee served as Justice of Peace, 442nd district Appling County, 1853-57, Justice of Appling Inferior Court from 1857 until its abolition in 1868, and was Representative from Appling County, 1873-1874. He married Dorcas Dedge in 1841.
He passed away in 1891. Judge Sellers Lee was a Mason as indicated by a large Masonic emblem on his tombstone.
Tombstone reads: "Remember friends as you pass by, That all mankind are born to die, Then let your cares on Christ be cast, That you may dwell with him at last".[2]
Sellers Lee was postmaster in the Sellers community of Appling County, GA on July 23, 1888.
