Biography
George Leverton was born in Lincolnshire, England.
George, son of George Leverton & Mary Leverton, was baptised on 3 November 1805 in Fiskerton, Lincolnshire.[1]
George married Elizabeth Brown on 12 April 1836 in Reepham, Lincolnshire, a parish two miles north of Fiskerton; their witnesses were John and Eleanor Brown.[2]
Their children were baptised in Reepham and then Saxilby where George was a Ground-keeper;[3] they included:
by 1881 George was an inmate in the Lincolns Union Workhouse.[6]
George's death (age 87) was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1890 in the Lincoln district.[7]
