Fricke—Levy.—The marriage of Miss Isadora Eugenie Levy, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Levy, of "Brooklyn," George-street, Fitzroy, to Mr. F. T. Albert Fricke, was celebrated quietly in the drawing-room of "Brooklyn," last Wednesday morning, by the Registrar-General, Mr. Tracey. The bride was given away by her mother, and looked lovely in a beautiful gown of white satin made with a long square train. A cascade of Honiton lace fell from waist to foot one side of the skirt front, but, otherwise, it was quite plain. The corsage was exquisite, and very uncommon. It was in the Russian blouse shape and had a yoke of handsome pearl passementerie, while the whole front below was composed of rows of ribbon which had the effect of wide tucks alternated with pearl trimming going round the figure. The back was treated in a similar fashion, but without the pearl trimming. The rucked sleeves had a row of the passementerie from wrist to shoulder, and a tabbed medici collar softened by Honiton lace completed the bodice. The veil was arranged over a coronet spray of orange blossom; and a beautiful shower posy and diamond brooch, the gift toilette. There was one bridesmaid, Miss Beatrice Levy (sister of the bride) who wore a most effective gown of golden yellow silk, with one of the new overskirts of fine figured net, with a design of graduated satin bands round the bottom. The Russian corsage was of handsome yellow brocade, with vest of alternate tucks of brocade and striped armure silk, with a cascade of lace down the left side. The waist belt was fastened by a pretty pansy buckle, and the sleeves were of the armure striped silk. A picture hat, shower posy, and gold shepherd crook and bell, with initials of bride and bridegroom, gift of the latter, gave the finishing touches. Mr. J. Raphael acted as best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony, which took place shortly after ten o'clock, a dejeuner a la Jourchette was served, and in the afternoon a reception was held by the bride's mother from three to five o'clock, when wedding tea and light refreshments were served in the dining room. The table looked very pretty, being decorated with mounds of silver tinsel, from which sprang vases of white flowers. In the centre was the large and handsome bride cake.
As the bride aud bridegroom did not start on their honeymoon trip until evening, a few of the most intimate friends remained to dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Fricke then left on their tour, the bride looking charming in a gown of peacock blue cloth with picture hat and en tout cos to match. The mother of the bride was richly gowned in black brocade with a Russian corsage of corded silk richly trimmed with jet passementerie. Some beautiful dresses were worn by some of the guests at the reception. [3]
Isadora passed away at her daughter’s home on 26 April 1939, aged 63.

She is buried in St Kilda cemetery with Albert.
