John Lewin, son of George Lewin and his wife Ann, ^{[1] [2]} was born in about November 1837 in Peakirk, Northamptonshire. ^{[3] [4]} He was baptised on 17 December 1837 in Peakirk, Northamptonshire. ^[1] He married Harriet Coles on 20 October 1859 in Binbrook, Lincolnshire. ^[5] He died in about November 1894, his death was registered in Peterborough, Northamptonshire. ^[6]
