Mary was born about 1797. She passed away before 1897.

• War of 1812 land record shows Henry Hissey as the soldier, Mary A. Hissey (Mary Ann Lineberger maiden name) as the widow. Henry served in Lieut. Capt. John Owings' Co., Maryland Militia, enlisted 25 Aug 1814, discharged 27 Oct 1814. The couple were married 26 Dec 1814 in Baltimore, and the soldier died "June 4 or 5, 1840 or 1841, Baltimore, Co., MD." Widow resided at Baltimore County in 1850, 1955, and in 1871 near Ellicott City, Baltimore, Maryland. Bounty Land 19242 - 40 - 50 / 66417 - 120 - 55.^[1]

• A personal ad in The Baltimore Sun in 1883 noting Mrs. Mary Ann Hissey almost 11 years after her death, where the author is seeking heirs of John W. Ringrose, pension agent who was located at 556 West Baltimore street in 1868. The author noted Mrs. Hissey resided in Baltimore in 1851.^[6]
