Biography
James was born in 1837 in Howell Township. James Longstreet passed away in 1899 (Manasquan)[1].
1850 Census show him living with John, Mary, Lydia, Sarah, Rachel, James, Nancy, and Charles. John and Mary, being his parents, James was 13 years of age at that time. [2]
James married Elizabeth in 1857 (one child - Andrew) and later, Deborah, after Elizabeth's death in 1878 (three additional children, Mary and George, plus Allen T Hyde from a previous marriage). [3]
- His occupation is sea captain.
