Donal Oge MacCarthy was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Note: There were many lineages among the MacCarthys of Munster. The 3 most famous were the MacCarthy Mór (senior branch); the Lords of Muskerry; and the MacCarthy Reagh (Princes of Carbery).

[Disputed]^[1] Married Joan fitz Maurice Fitzgerald, the daughter of Maurice FitzGerald, 2nd Earl of Desmond; Joan & Donal had a daughter, Amy who married Maurice de Rupe (Roche), Lord of Fermoy ^[2][3]

1. ↑ Donal Oge was dead by 1307, whereas Maurice, 2nd Earl of Desmond, was not even born until ca.1330. Graves appears to be confusing Maurices or Donals here. However, another Maurice, the 4th Earl of Kildare, did indeed have a daughter Joan who got married ca.1365 to Donal MacCarthy Mór, Prince of Desmond.
