Beatrice was born in 1877. She was the daughter of John Charles Mace and Prudence Dare, who had married in New Zealand in 1874.

Beatrice (20) married Thomas Taylor (19) in 1898 in New Zealand.

Their daughter was Mabel Gertrude Taylor (1901–1977).

Beatrice died on 2 November 1961 in New Zealand, aged about 83. She was buried in Maungaturoto Congregational Church Cemetery, Northland.
