Sommerlatte
Funeral services for Mary Sommerlatte, 90, of Shaws Bend were held Thursday, Feb. 21 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Tim Kosler officiated with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Sommerlatte passed away Thursday[sic], Feb. 19 in Colorado-Fayette Medical Center, Weimar.
Born Jan. 24, 1901 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Veronika (Jasek) Mahalitc. She was united in marriage with Lee Sommerlatte who preceded her in death Oct. 5, 1982.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Ruby) Reinhardt of Bernardo; three sons, Vernon Sommerlatte and his wife Nelda of Houston, William Ordner of Columbus and Leroy Sommerlatte and his wife Mathilda of Industry; one sister, Minnie Balzer of Weimar; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
