Biography
Younger son of Regina Jeanne Farkas Marks and Harold Marks, DDS. He was a New York entertainment lawyer whose clients included Billy Joel, the Beatles, Elton John and Eddie Murphy, and he died Saturday, April 30, 2011 in his Manhattan home after suffering from advanced stages of dementia. He was 69.
Marks graduated from prestigious Stuyvesant high school in New York City, received his BS from Baruch College in NYC and his law degree from Yale University. He was founding partner of the law firm Gold, Farrell & Marks in 1970. Marks, a former federal prosecutor, was survived by his brother, his twin daughters, his son-in-law and his two grandchildren.
