Biography

Louis Martel died young.

Louis was the son of Jean Baptiste Martel and Louise Paquet. He was born 21 February 1847 and baptized the next day in Saint-Raymond, in modern day Québec. His godparents were Michel Paquet and Marie Anne Ouvrard.^[1]

Along with his parents and siblings, Louis was listed on the 1851 Census of Canada for Saint-Raymond.^[2]

Louis was nine years old when he died 8 May 1856. He was buried two days later in St-Raymond.^[3]
