Biography

Margaretta (Mason) McCown is a part of US Black heritage.

Margaretta Mason was born in 1834. She was the daughter of Charles Mason and Sidney Schafer.^[1][2] She married William McCowan in 1855.^[3] She passed away in 1914.^[2] She was buried in Bass Cemetery in Long, Darke County, Ohio.^[4]
