Biography
Sarah Mason was a daughter of Richard and Abigail (Seary) Mason, of Dublin Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania [1]. On the 30th of August 1731 Sarah Mason and Benjamin Gilbert declared their intention to marry in the Society of Friends [2]. They settled in Richland Township and Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Sarah and Benjamin were the parents of eight children, Rachel, Abigail, Sarah, Joseph, Benjamin, John, Sarah, Joshua and Caleb [1]. In 1755 they retuned to the Gilbert homestead in Byberry Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania [1], were in 1759 Sarah died [2].
