Biography

James was born the 19th of May 1859 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.^[1] His parents were James McAinsh and Barbara Edmiston.

Marriage and Children

James married Margaret McLymont Annan on the 10th of September 1890 in Glasgow. Margaret died in 1902. They had the following children:

1. Mary born 10 August 1889 in Glasgow.
2. Isabella born 26 January 1893 in Glasgow.
3. Maggie born 17 Jun 1894 in Glasgow.
4. James born 1896 in Glasgow.
5. Barbara Edmiston McAinsh born on the 25th of August 1899 in Glasgow. She died in 1975.

James married Davinia Hutchison on the 6th of April 1904 at 15 Carnarvon St., after publication according to the forms of the United Free Church.^[2] James and Davinia were both 45 years old. Davinia was a spinster while James was a widower. Davinia's parents were Matthew Hutchison, Butler, deceased and Jane Murdoch Hutchison ms Barr, also deceased. James's parents were James McAinsh, joiner, deceased and Barbara McAinsh formerly Carlyle ms Edmiston.

Death

James died 8th August 1914 in Glasgow. ^[3]
