• Howard Milton McClam, Sr., 73, died Mon., Jan. 21, 2002, in Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning. Funeral services were held Wed., Jan. 23, 2002, at the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at McClam Cemetery.

Mr. McClam was born in Kingstree, a son of the late Solomon Fant McClam and Ada Floyd McClam. He was a graduate of Hebron High School and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended the First Baptist Church in Manning and was a retired insurance agent.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy Barrineau McClam.

Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Katherine Hicklin Jackson McClam of Manning and Kingstree; four sons, Milton McClam, Gary McClam, Warren McClam and Walter McClam, all of Kingstree; one step-daughter, Katherine C. Jackson of Manning; two step-sons, Ransome A. Coleman of Spartanburg; and Charles L. Coleman of St. Matthews; and two sisters, Delma McClam and Helen McClam, both of Kingstree.
