Granville was born in 1915, in Four Paths, Clarendon. This information is on his immigration record, “List or Manifest of Alien Passengers for the United States”, the S.S. George Washington, sailing from Kingston, Jamaica, B.W.I., on June 1st, 1943. He also listed Four Paths as his last permanent residence at that time.
Granville is listed as a witness on his niece’s marriage certificate — his niece Ena (Enid) is the daughter of his half sister, Eulalee Losilda Whittingham McGann (aka Garvey).
Granville died at Curphey’s Nursing Home for Old Soldiers in Newport, Manchester, Jamaica, on the 23rd of April, 1989. He was 75 years old. (I also visited Granville there around 1983.) Death certificate #TE1260.
