Biography

Johannes Jacobsson Mieto was born on the 22nd of February 1795 on the Mieto farm in Kurikka Finland. He was the son of Jacob Eliasson Karhu and Caisa Johansdotter Mieto. ^{[1] [2]}

Johan Jacobsson married Helena Andersdotter on the 4th of March 1817. Although they were living on the Andila farm in Ilmajoki Parish, their wedding was held on the Mändy farm in Kurikka Parish. The ceremony was performed by pastor Berndt Gustaf Hällstén. ^{[3] [4]}

They had the following children:

2. Maria (1818)
3. Caisa (1820)
4. Brita Helena (1821-1822)
5. Lisa (1823)

Johan Jacobsson died of stones (stenpassion) at the age of 28, on the 19th of July 1823. He and his family lived as tenant farmers (torpare) on the Yli Bengtilä farm in Ilmajoki Parish at the time of his death.
