African Origin, Fireman in Planing Mill, $3/hr wage + 50, employed 10 mo, 6 mo school?, reads & writes & Elisabeth Mike (38), B, born Ont, Methodist, African,reads & writes. Her siblings: Annie Mike (13); Orland Mike (8); Clarence R Mike (9 mo); and her grandfather: Peter Mike (71), B, widowed, born Ont, Methodist, African, Stone Quarry Laborer, $1.50 hr, worked 10 mo, reads & writes. On 5 June 1905, at Haldidmand, Ontario, Ethel had a still-born daughter given the name Ethel May. Father unknown (illegitimate)^[2][3] However John Yeager is a good fit, especially as they had a son in the next year.

A son, Harmon Walter Mike (1906-1937) was born, 29 Dec 1906, Norfolk County, Ontario

There is a most interesting record of a marriage by Licence on 18 Apr 1908, in Hamilton Wentworth County. It is between John Yager (60) of Simcoe, Ontario, Farmer, Methodiist, son of Levy Yeager and Phoebe McClellan & Ethel Mike (23), of Hagersville, Spinster, Methodist, daughter of Henry Mike & Elizabeth Hill.^[4] Considering his wife was alive, albeit in a mental institution, it is most curious. John's wife, Mary A Schuyler, in Hospital for the Insane from 1894, died 1911.

At age 29, she married JOHN YEAGER (1842-1914) on 18 Aug 1914, Norfolk, Ontario. She is listed as "S", spinster. ^[5]

Her husband, John Yeager, died Nov 1914 due to Cancer & exhaustion, 4 months after they married.^[6]

It appears, around 1921, she married WILLIAM HENRY BROUGHTON (1882-1971), she was his second wife
