Joseph Marshall Millsap was born on April 11, 1871 in Moore, Tennessee, United States.

Joe married Bertha Mae Hammond (born about 1888 in Taylor Co. TX; daughter of Joseph C Hammond).^[1] Their children were:

• Joseph Millsap (1920–~2006)
• Marshall Hensley Millsap (~1922–~2003)
