Biography

On 15 November 1840 in Ravanusa, Pasquale Minacori, age 32 (b. 1808), contadino, who lives in this comune on strada di Falletta, presents a newborn baby boy born to Grazia Vinciguerra, his wife, age 24 (b. 1816), who lives with him and was born the previous day in their home. The baby is named Calogero.^[1]

Calogero marries Rosa Ragona. They have at least five children including: Pasquale (1861), Grazia (1863), two daughters named Crocifissa (1865 and 1869), and Giuseppe (1882).

On 2 June 1861 in Ravanusa, Calogero Minacori, age 20 (b. 1841), contadino, who lives on the strada di San Giuseppe, presents a newborn baby boy born to Rosa Ragona, his wife, age 19 (b. 1842), in their home the previous day. He is named Pasquale.^[2]

On 10 August 1863 in Ravanusa, Calogero Minacori, age 21 (b. 1842), contadino, who lives in the strada di San Giuseppe, presents a newborn baby girl who was born to Rosa Ragona, his wife, age 18 (b. 1845), who lives with him The baby was born the previous day (9 August 1863) in their home. She is named Grazia.^[3]

On 9 August 1865 in Ravanusa, Calogero Minacori, age 24 (b. 1841), contadino, resident on the strada di San Giuseppe, presents a newborn baby girl born to Rosa Ragona, his wife, age 23 (b. 1842), in their home that day. She is named Crocifissa.^[4]

On 4 December 1869 in Ravanusa, Maria Giannuso, age 48, midwife, presents a baby girl born to Rosa Ragona, age 28 (b. 1841), wife of Calogero Minacori, age 28 (b. 1841), contadino, who lives in the strada di San Giuseppe, yesterday (3 December 1869). Her name is Crocifissa.^[5]

Calogero Minacori, age 32 (b. 1850), villico, reports the birth of his son, Giuseppe, on 3 October 1882, to his wife, Rosa Ragona (last name hard to read), a spinner, in their home in via Cretai, Ravanusa, in Agrigento province, Sicily.^[6]

On 2 January 1909 in Ravanusa, state officials receive from the province a true copy of the atto di matrimonio written in French and translated into Italian from the Parish of Rosario, a registration of marriage in the year 1908 on 8 February, published by the church of Rosario, with their mutual consent, united in marriage Giuseppe Minacori, born in Ravanusa Girgenti on 2 October 1882, son of the late Calogero Minacori and Rosa Ragona; and Luigia Farrugia, born in Ravanusa on 3 February 1893, daughter of Pietro Farrugia and Maria Cirami. The original certificate is dated February 29 1909.^[7]
