Beate Mischer was born in Lomnitz, Silesia (now Łomnica, Poland) on 7 Jan 1817[1]. She was married to Friedrich Hampel. The couple had three children. In 1858 the entire family emigrated to Australia[2]. However, about five years later they all returned[3]. After the death of her daughter Friederike around 1870 the parents and their daughter Anna emigrated again and settled in Israel, taking the two orphaned grandchildren with them[3]. Beate Mischer passed away on 29 Dec 1892 in Jerusalem[4]. She is buried alongside her husband in the Templer Cemetery in Jerusalem[5].
