Lucinda was born in 1845, the daughter of Samuel Miser and Sarah Beck.[1] She married Hiram Drowley in 1862.[2] They relocated to Eaton County, Michigan, before 1864 and had two children:
Flora Mae Drowley (1864-1943) m William H Haines (no children)
William Henry Drowley (1865-1945) m Katharine Alice Carroll (no children)
At the time of the 1870 Census, the household consisted of Hiram (27, NY), Lucinda (23, NY [sic]), May (6, MI), and Willie (3, MI), plus six apparently unrelated children: Newton Hall (16, MI), and five Green children—born in Vermont, Ohio, and Michigan, and of unknown relationship to either Hiram or Lucinda.[3]
Lucinda was widowed in 1877 and passed away in 1903.[4] She and her husband are both buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Eaton County, Michigan.[5]
Research Notes
Lucinda was originally added as a daughter of Samuel and Sarah from a published family history.[6] This history stated that she married "John" Drowley, and had no other information on her or her family. All research records indicated that she married "Hiram" Drowley.
