Biography
- Colonel Bertram Charles Mitford (1809-1876) was the son of Bertram Mitford and his wife Frances née Vernon.[1][2]
- Bertram joined the 11th Regiment as an Ensign on 27th April 1827.[2]
- He married Mary Jane, daughter of Lt.-Col Rice Jones on the 6th of February 1843 in St James's Church, Piccadilly, London.
- He died aged 67 on the 23rd of August 1876 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.
