Biography

Lillian Mae Monsees was born on May 19, 1935, in the Prymont area of Morgan County, Missouri, the first child of William Henry Monsees and Katherine Emma Heismeyer.

She attended schools in Smithton and Hughesville, graduating from Hughesville High School in 1953.

On Jan. 5, 1953 she married Clarence Newton, in Harrison, Arkansas.

Lillian worked at raising her kids. She also worked at Lamy's Manufacturing, Jensen's, and Prairie Town Products. She enjoyed going to auctions and rummage sales, tending to her flowers, reading, going to plays.

Lillian died on Oct. 18, 2014, at Sedalia, Mo. She is buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, Pettis County, MO.
