Mary Ann's parents are thought to be Richard Mudd and his Unknown Wife. Richard was the son of William Mudd, Sr and Elizabeth Clements. The Mudd Family books state that there is a possibility that Mary Ann might be the daughter of Richard's brother William.

She was born in Kentucky, and her Home in 1850 is Grayson, Kentucky, USA. Household Members, Name, and Age are Clement Alvey 58, Mary Ann Alvey 60, Thomas Alvey 21, and Basil E Alvey 19. [6]
Mary Ann's exact date and location of death is not known but was after the 1840 Grayson Co, KY Federal Census and before the 1860 Census and most likely is buried in St Augustine with her husband.
