At a wedding held last Sunday at the Methodist Episcopal church in Vancouver, Washington, Miss Elaine Mae Ausve daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ausve of Vancouver, became the bride of George Daniel Mudgett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Scroggins, also of Vancouver.
Rev. Fred C. Taylor officiated.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Mrs Marshall D Kelson of Vancouver was the bride's only attendant. Mr. Kelson acted as best man and ushers were Charles Wahlberg of Portland and Benjamin Berg of Vancouver.
A reception was held in the church parlors. Pouring and assisting were Mrs. Richard Ausve, Mrs. Charles Wahlberg, Miss Faith Lieberman, Miss Carmen Ausve, Miss Sandra Wahlberg, Miss Wilma Larson, Miss Maxine Minor, Miss Mary Mills, and Miss Virginia Hiller.
The couple will be at home in Vancouver after December.[4]

A funeral for George D. Mudgett will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. He died of cancer Friday in his Vancouver home. He was 72.
Mr. Mudget was born in Spokane on April 29, 1919 and had lived in Vancouver since 1921. He was a retired conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad and one of its predecessors, the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway, both in Vancouver. Mr. Mudget served in the Navy during World War II on the U.S.S Effington in the Pacific Ocean. He graduated from the old Vancouver High School in 1937.
Surviving Mr. Mudgett are his wife, Elaine of Vancouver; sons, Michael of Vancouver and Gil of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Jan Martin of Vancouver; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
The family suggest that rememberances be contributions to Community Home Health & Hospice of Clark County, 2417 Broadway, Vancouver 98663.[1]
George was buried in Park Hill Cemetery, Vancouver, Clark, Washington in Section K, Lot 246 Grave 3.[9]
