Biography
Maria Neale was the daughter of Francis Neale of Keythorpe and Prestwold in Leciestershire, [1][2][3] and his second wife, Jane Hall. [4]
She married Everard Digby, son of Kenelm Digby and his wife, Anne Cope. [1] They were parents of at least five children, Everard, George, John, Mary and Elizabeth. [1]
Everard died in 1592 [2] [3] The wardship of her son, Everard, was purchased by Roger Manners who transferred it to Mary. [2]
She married, as her second husband, the Staffordshire antiquarian and widower, Sampson Erdeswicke. Her children by Sampson were Richard, Matthew and Joan. [5]
