Biography

William was born about 1590.

This is a likely match: Nevill William Scholar of Trinity 1605 B.A. 1607/8[1]

Wm Nevill bachelor of laws married to Mary Harlakenden daughter of Rich Harlakenden esq 11.5.1619[2]

His first wife Mary died following the birth of their daughter, also Mary who was buried 22.2.1620[3]

In subsequent legal documents his wife Mary is referred to as if alive, so a second marriage to another Mary in around 1620 is probable though the marriage record remains elusive. The first daughter of the new marriage is also called Mary and is referred to as the eldest daughter in a number of documents. See Mary (Nevell) Morley

In 1625 he is referred to as Wm Nevill of Chappell alias Pontesbright gentleman[4]

In 1633 he had a significant legal argument with Roger Harlakendenover land rights.[5]

His will was made in 1635[6]

He died in 1636[7]
