Records of Saint Helena Council Meetings ^[1] beginning 16 Jun 1678 are amongst the Endangered Archives series held at the British Library in London:

• 22 Dec 1679 ^[2] - Elizabeth Gates;
  • Occupation - Wife of William Gates, formerly wife of Andrew Nevills. Notes - Masons & Bricklayers claiming pay from 1678 for work done on the Compnay fortifications & houses have presented their bills. Any two of Capt. Bealle, Lieut. Tyler, Lieut. Johnson & John Colston, to examine these bills, check against records & advise Council at next session.
