Katherine "Kitty" was born in Virginia about 1730 [1]. She was the daughter of John Neville Jr. and Mary Bohannon. She was named in her father's 1767 will, receiving a bequest of 1 shilling [2].
In 1759, Kitty and William were listed in a Fauquier County, Virginia deed [4].
In 1800, William and Kitty Fitzgerald sold 100 acres in Fayette County to their son Silas. Land had originally been part of the William McConnell Settlement. William and Kitty gave their marks [5].
In 1812, her son Jesse entered a deed to sell his in interest in a portion of his mother Catherine "Fitzgerrel's" estate [6].
She passed away about 1812.
Research Notes
Kitty's memorial on Find A Grave [7] gives her death date as 24 April 1767. This is almost certainly an error. April 24,1767 was the date of her father John Neaville's will, which listed Kitty Fitzgerald as one of his daughters [2]. Kitty was still living in 1800 when she and her husband sold land to their son Silas [5]. She likely passed away about 1812, when her son Jesse sold his interest in Kitty's estate [6].
