Biography

William was born in 1886. He was the son of Benjamin Newby and Mary Lepley. William's mother died when he was about 7 years old. He passed away in 1968. William was badly injured as a boy. He fell on a sharp object which cost him the vision in one eye and also caused brain damage. He spent most of his life in the Iowa Institution For Feeble Minded Children.
