Biography
Walter was born in 1909. He is the son of John Newth and Elizabeth Clemens.
Walter was employed as a Civil Engineer and was employed by the Ministry of Works in Hamilton for most of his working life.
He became engaged in November 1934 to Patricia Osborn, married in 1937 and were to have one son born during their marriage.
Walter served during WWII with the RNZAF in Malaya. In 1942, Walter was one of over 150 men evacuated from Singapore and taken to Australia. Walter was a Warrant Officer with the NZ aerodrome construction unit.
Walter John Newth was 77 when he passed away in 1986. CREMATION - NO BURIAL. [1]
