1819 --- Leah Norwood made her will on December 18, 1819 -- probated in Franklin County, North Carolina, December 1831 -- Will Book: J, page: 176. Her legates were: daughter Elizabeth Branch, one negro, Ipse and whatever may be due me on bond of her late husband, John Branch to certain payments -- daughter Leah Gant, widow of William Gant -- daughter Winifred and husband, Edwin Cook daughter Mary Nelsaon -- mentions Mary's late husband, Joseph Outerbridge -- sons: William and Robert L. Whitaker 5 shillings each. Together with what I have already given them: residue of estate to Elizabeth Branch and her husband.
