He married Magdalena “Lena” Santschi (1832-1917) in about 1860, probably in Switzerland . She was the daughter of Peter Santschi and C. Breon. They emigrated to America in 1868 or 1869. Their children included:
Godfrey J. Oehrli (1870-1959) - married Annie Walton
In 1900 census, it was reported that Madalena had had 7 children, but only 3 were still living. In 1910 census, only 2 were still living. They would have been Fred and Godfrey. Nicholas died between 1900-1910.
They initially lived in Rockland, Sullivan County, New York. They had moved to Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania by 1881. They moved to Central Avenue before settling at 445 Reynolds Street, South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
Fredrick died 10 April 1926 of a cerebral apoplexy at age 91 in South Williamsport. He was buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, USA.
