Biography

Ellen was born in 1842[1] at Bocking, Essex, England[2][3]. She is the daughter of William Ogles and Isabella Ogles.

On the 28th August 1869, Ellen married David Edward Jopson at Christ Church, Poplar, Middlesex, England. David (looks like Daviel) Edward Jobson [sic], 31, bachelor, Carman, of 15 Strattendale Street, son of William Jobson [sic] (labourer); and Ellen Ugless [sic], 25, spinster of 15 Strattondale Street, daughter of William Ugless [sic] (gardener). Vicar wrote the groms name clearly as David Edward Jobson [sic] (mark of) in the signature field. Witnessed by John Joseph Moss, Charlotte Payne and Sarah Louise Gibbon[4].
