William Ogles was born about 1718[1][2]

On the 22nd September 1743, William married Jane Brown at All Saints, Stisted, Essex, England, by banns[3]

William was occupied as a husbandman[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][1] and a labourer[16].

William died at the age of 46.[2] He was buried on the 11th January 1764 at All Saints, Stisted, Essex, England[1].[2][17]

Research Notes

William may have been the son of Isaac Ogles of Ashen, Essex, England and baptised in 1715. Isaac also had sons named Isaac and Jacob and his probable 2nd wife was named Susanna.

It is likely William was the brother of Anne Ogles who had an illegitimate daughter Mercy, by Charles Bass, baptised on the 3rd March 1744/5 at All Saints, Stisted, Essex, England[35].

William's eldest half-brother Isaac also moved from Ashen to Stisted. Isaac, Isaac's wife Rachel and their 40 year old daughter Sarah were all buried at Stisted.
