Biagio Oliveri is born and baptized 10 October 1785 in Corleone. He is the son of Lorenzo Oliveri and Antonina Timpa. His godparents are Gregorio Mule', husband of Anna Maria, and Maria Colajanni, who is unmarried.[1]
Although he is the first born child, Biagio is not named after either grandfather. His namesake, Saint Blasius, is a patron of infants, throat maladies, and choking. These clues may indicate that Biagio's parents believed he was in danger of dying in infancy.
Biagio dies on 1 November 1785[2] at three weeks of age.
