Biography

Anders Pedersen was the son of Peder Andersen and Anne Nilsdatter, Mehus.^[1] Anders is recorded in the census of 1801 at Ytre Mehus with his parents.^[2]

Married on 22 Jul 1826 to Elisabeth Aronsdatter, Strømdal (1797 - 1833)^[3]

Anders is recorded dead on 22 Dec 1830, but the entry is crossed over in the church protocol. It states that he died at sea, age 40, and was buried on 29 May. It is unclear why the entry is crossed over. Perhaps another death record can be found.^[6] A probate was recorded after Anders in 1831 at Mehus. It mentions his widow and children; Peder (8), Anders (1), and Ingeborg. The probate after Elisabeth two years later mentions another son Hans Nikolai (2), so Elisabeth must have been pregnant when Anders died.
