Emma (Pester) Spry was born in Bristol, England.
Emma Pester was born about 1833 in Bristol England and christened there on January 27, 1833. She was the daughter of James Pester, victualler, and Mary (James) Pester.[1] [2]
In the 1841 census Emma (age 8) was at Whitchurch House, apparently a residential school, with her sister Ann and brother William, in Whitchurch, Somerset, England.[3]

On December 5, 1853 in the Parish Church of St. Andrew Montpelier, Bristol, Emma, aged 21 and daughter of James Pester, deceased, maltster, married Charles Whitrow Henderson, aged 24, woollen draper and son of Joseph Henderson, gentleman.[5] [6]
Their daughter Louisa was baptized November 12, 1857 in St Mary Magdalene Church in Taunton, Somerset. [7]
In the 1861 census Emma (age 28) was the wife of Charles Whitson Henderson in St Mary Magdalen, Sussex, England.[8]
