Biography
George was born on 2 August 1779 & baptised George Pettyt, 26 September 1779 Bolton Abbey, Priory Church, Yorkshire the son of Thomas Pettyt (farmer) & Anne Holmes . [1] [2]
The marriage by Banns of George Pettyt (bach. - farmer) & Ann Tiplady (spnr.) [both of Bolton Abbey] was conducted on 18 November 1805 Bolton Abbey, Priory Church, Yorkshire. [3] [4]
With wife Ann & children in 1851 living in Hazlewood with Storiths, Yorkshire. He was a farmer of 67 acres. [5]
George died in 1854 [6]& buried 31 December 1854, Bolton Abbey, Priory Church, Yorkshre. [7]
