Biography
Harriet (Peverett) Cooper was born in Norfolk, England.
Born as Harriet Peverett on September 27, 1835 and baptised as Harriet Plaice on October 30th in Stow Bardolph, Norfolk, England, she was the illegitimate daughter of Mary Peverett and John Place who were married on the very same day as Harriet's baptism.[1]

Her parents John and Mary Ann and her sisters Betsy, Fanny and Susan all sailed aboard the Barque Amazon from Plymouth, Devon, England, with Captain Cook at the helm and arrived in Adelaide, South Australia on February 19, 1852 except for Susan who died at sea.[4]
She married George Cooper on August 11, 1853 at Holy Trinity in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia and they were the parents of 6 children.
Harriet died July 21, 1871 in South Australia, Australia and was buried at St Michael's Anglican Church Cemetery in Bungaree, South Australia.[5]
