Nellie was born in 1925. She was the daughter of George Phares and Thelma Elliott.

She married Ronald Charles Davis 8 Sep 1944 and had the following children: Charles K., William, Elliot, James, Jolene, and Sue.

Her second marriage was to Charles Smith.

She passed away in 2003.
