Biography

Octavius was the youngest son of the Rev. Thomas Pigot, rector of Blymhill near Shifnall, Shropshire, and his wife Mary Anne née Kearsley; he was baptized by his father on 21 Sep. 1829.  His will was proved in Northampton on 26 May 1908.

Appointed licentiate in theology, Durham University.[1] He later held the local curacies of Ashton-in-Makerfield; Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester; and of Haigh, near Wigan.[2]
