In 1850 an E.A. Pitkin (36, b. OH, cooper) headed an Ypsilanti, MI (Washtenaw County) household with L.A. Pitkin (female, 34, b. CT), Amelia Pitkin (5, b. OH), Alphia Pitkin (3, b. MI), and Clement Pitkin (5/12, b. MI).
In 1860 an Elnathan Pitkin (45, b. OH, pres colpoter? [peddler of Presbyterian books?]) headed an Ypsilanti, MI (Washtenaw County) household with Lucy A. Pitkin (43, b. CT), Amelia Pitkin (15, b. MI), Althea Pitkin (13, b. MI), Caleb S. Pitkin (6, b. MI), and Walter B. Pitkin (3, b. MI).
A FamilySearch family tree listed Amelia Pitkin (1844-1867) as the daughter of Elnathan A. Pitkin (1814- ) and Lucy A. Seymour (1816- ).[2] Her date of death of 1867 matches with the fact that she did not appear in the family household for the 1870 census.
